Jane Miller

Background

After being admitted to practice in 2001, Jane worked for 19 years as a solicitor for a large, well-established South Australian firm with offices in regional South Australia, Perth, and Darwin. After a short sabbatical in 2004, which included travelling abroad, during which she worked for a large firm in London.

Upon returning to Adelaide Jane was promoted to Partner in 2010, an opportunity that broadened her responsibilities in the legal profession with respect to business management, staff training and supervision. Jane thrived in her new role, relishing the rigour, challenge, and scope that practice management gave her.

Jane’s legal practice, from the onset, included Family Law, Succession, and Insurance Law though her passion was and still is today, Family Law.

Or as Jane said, “Those formative years have proved beneficial as my career moved towards a family law specialisation because family law frequently traverses a range of complexities in other jurisdictions”.

Jane is a regular presenter at professional development seminars for family law and enjoys sharing her expertise in the mentoring of lawyers that are new to the profession and jurisdiction.
